DSC07978_800wThe Schaumburg Choral Artists is a vocal ensemble providing a unique choral opportunity for advanced adult singers in the Chicago northwest suburbs and outlying communities.

Members will be selected by audition and should display a skill level to learn and perform from the standard choral repertoire, including period works, sacred vocal music, classical works with symphony, and contemporary music by composers such as Michael John Trotta, Stephen Paulus, Alice Parker, and Eric Whitacre. Academic choral experience preferred.

This program is modeled on area professional vocal ensembles that employ principles including self-discipline, a serious dedication to the music being rehearsed and performed, and a strict commitment to the program with regards to attendance, preparedness, and respect for others.  Ideal singers are able to sight read well, have previous choral experience, and are able to prepare music on their own.
